Background: Effective October 1, 2013, Fort Lauderdale’s neighbors are no longer able to dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW), electronics, or yard waste at any of Broward County’s drop-off locations. This service change reflects a decision to streamline fiscal spending for the City’s neighbors.
