Does an mmo exist where you can have an avatar that you can physically move around to different gaming tables in a city to play different games (like board games : monopoly, battlships, game of life, pictionary, scrabble and/or casino games, puzzle games like sudoku or crosswords, jumble words.)

If not, is there a company i can contact with the idea to get it started? i'm not looking for a business venture i'd just liked to see something like this exist.

Eruwenn stepped into the hangar of the Galactic Federation ship Takogni, her assistant Cygna close behind. With steady and sure steps they approached the remarkable group in matching uniforms — black pants, black jacket, and a visible collar of a coloured shirt — that stood before them.
Norrin, the Herald of the Awakened Queen and easily the most striking individual they had ever beheld, stood at the front with a brazen lack of clothing on his mirror-like skin. Flanking him were two silver-haired individuals in smart uniforms that sported red collars. One was a behemoth of a dark-skinned man, with a runic pattern in glittering silver curving down one side of his face. His shining silver hair was tied back into a braided ponytail. The other was as pale as her companion was dark, and the shortest of the three by far. She had a cropped silver bob, and she watched them with fierce eyes.
As she approached them, Eruwenn noticed patches on their shoulders, and quickly recognised the image to be a monochrome depictions of the furry human ambassador in a ferocious pose.
Standing to the right were a dozen more individuals in black uniforms, though these ones sported yellow collars peeking out from under their jackets. They were mostly Rinoxian, Kasurian, and Ashi, but she noticed a few individuals from other races that stood amongst them. They stood in formation, standing in three rows of four, and carried energy rifles, side-arms, and ceremonial blades that she hoped were simply ceremonial. Despite their relaxed stance, Eruwenn also noted that their weapons were powered up..
The Terran Wolves had been formed a little over forty cycles ago, hiring ex-military and mercenaries to fill their ranks. Substantial pay and benefits were an obvious draw, and many were excited to be part of something new. The inclusion of Kasurians was odd, but fitted with the attitude of the proposed colonies. Quite the honour guard for the newly reassigned, and demoted, Anatidae.
Norrin gave a sharp bow as she neared him. “Greetings Ambassador Aix Sponsa. I will escort you to the Orkal.”
She returned his bow, and smiled warmly at the use of her new title. “Thank you for accommodating me at such short notice. My reassignment was, unfortunately, hastily pushed through — I do hope I have not inconvenienced you?”
Norrin shook his head. “Not at all.” In her role as Councillor she had aided them immensely, protecting the independence of the new colonies in Aaron’s absence. It had cost her dearly. “We have set aside accommodations for you, as well as a small office area. Your belongings have already been delivered.” He turned, and the doors to the large Fae’Dan shuttle behind him opened. “I fear there won’t yet be much for an ambassador to do. We are still very early in the construction phase.”
As Eruwenn and Cygna took seats in the luxurious shuttle, they both noticed that only Norrin and the two red shirts had entered. As the doors closed, the ambassador's curiosity grew enough for her to speak up about it. “Are the others not joining us?”
Norrin took a seat opposite their guests, glancing briefly at his two companions as they moved to the small pilot's cabin. "No," he said simply, "they will be flying the escort fighters.”
“Fighters?” Cygna couldn’t help but say out loud. “All twelve of them?”
Norrin eased himself back in his seat as the shuttle began to move. “We take your safety seriously. The Queen was most insistent.” He tilted his head and looked directly at Eruwenn, motioning with his hand towards the door to the pilot’s cabin. “Thor and Ripley have been assigned to you as your primary security detail. Should you have any other concerns, do not hesitate to contact me directly.”
The Anatidae nodded graciously. She knew full well that her death would be too valuable a political tool for the Sentinels to pass up. Her being manoeuvred to this position so suddenly was proof that greater powers were at play. “We are both grateful that you are taking such precautions. I look forward to thanking the Queen in person.”
Norrin gave a light chuckle. “I would strongly advise against using that title in her presence.” He opened the arm on his chair, exposing a small display. He began tapping the screen as the wall to his right flickered to life. A large circular structure was now visible, sitting at the centre of a constantly moving sea of drones, shuttles and ships. “As you can see, construction is progressing rapidly on the main docking ring. Once that is completed we will expand to the additional levels. The design is still being updated, as we are incorporating some human ideas.”
Eruwenn was carefully comparing the size of the ring to the shuttles buzzing around it. “Human ideas? I assume “very large” is one of those.”
“In fact, yes. Go big or go home.” He smiled. “Build it bigger, faster and stronger is the human way. This will be a very unique system station.” He leaned forward and gave a broad grin that reminded Eruwenn a little too much of the human’s. “Of course, being outside Federation space we are not bound by certain rules. For example, those that prohibit certain automated weaponry on stations primarily used for trade. Another human ideal regarding big sticks, especially as we are so close to enemy territory.”
Cygna looked closely at the silver man, his face emotive and yet seeming inanimate at the same time. “We passed two Rinoxian dreadnoughts at the system edge. I’ve seen almost a dozen Ashi heavy cruisers in the system, and various other military vessels. Who needs sticks with friends like those?”
Norrin sat back once again, placing his hands in his lap. “There were several attacks upon our supply ships. This happened despite the truce with the Ashi while amnesty negotiations continue.” He gave another smile; they all knew it was the Sentinels. “This no longer happens, thanks to our friends.”
His cheerful manner and polite tone gave his words an oddly ominous feel. Eruwenn watched his eyes, but only saw herself reflected in chrome pupils. She changed the subject. "How are things progressing with the release of the other Inorganics?"
Awakened,” he said swiftly and firmly, then smiled before moving on. “There are over three hundred who have taken Earth citizenship and are now working with us. In ten cycles that number will have doubled. In thirty, we will have thousands.”
Eruwenn raised an eyebrow. “So many, and so quickly?”
Norrin nodded. “The legislation you helped draft with the Kasurian and Rinoxian ambassadors was swiftly adopted.” He gave another of his knowing looks. It had been her last piece of legislation. “The campaign by the Kah’Ree also worked to our advantage. Their belief that we were stealing jobs and illegal citizens persuaded other races to back our removal. It seems a misinformation campaign via Spacebook had convinced them we were sleeper agents of the human empire.” He gave a light chuckle. “Biding our time before we took you down from within.”
The ambassador was warming to the chrome man sitting before her. In different circumstances, he would have made an exceptional politician. “I saw the pictures of the little yellow men advocating your people’s removal.”
Norrin disliked the imagery immensely, but they had proven just as useful as Alexa had claimed they would be. “Minions. A fitting name.” He brushed them from his mind and continued his briefing. “As you know, there is a grace period as employers make alternative arrangements. When that ends we will be sending teams to retrieve our brothers and sisters.”
Cygna was curious. “Brothers and sisters?”
He waved a hand dismissively. “Metaphorical turn of phrase. Prior to my awakening, my role was to travel between our people and perform something we called sharing. The giving and receiving of core nanites, to maintain our unity. Others also performed this duty, but we do have an undeniable bond. We know the location of all of our kind, and we will free them all.”
There was a gentle shift in gravity as the shuttle came to a stop. As the doors opened Eruwenn was struck by a cacophony of sound. Overlaid on the grinding base notes of a mechanical din were yelled communications in every vocal range that was audible to her species. She cautiously took a step outside, only to see that things looked just as chaotic as they had sounded. As the two red shirts joined them, she spoke, finding that she had to raise her voice to an uncomfortable level in order to be heard “Is it always this busy?”
A deep voice from behind her let out a booming laugh full of warmth and humour. The giant spoke, and Eruwenn wondered if he was the one named Thor, or Ripley. “This is the quiet hangar. You should see the construction crew bays.”
The Herald led the way. His chrome form made his authority easily recognisable and the crowds parted before him. “Thor is correct, this is a working ship and ill-suited to guests. The Orkal was originally a Gowe construction platform, retro-fitted by the Selari Trade Alliance for system development and asteroid mining. Until more ships arrive, it must act as the hub of this system.”
Cygna ducked as a small drone shot past them. “I’m surprised they were willing to trade with you after their experience with the human.”
Norrin turned to face them, walking backwards with as much confidence as he had forwards. “The Selari Trade Alliance are providing considerable resources at exceptionally favourable rates.” He decided not to mention that the Selari Trade Alliance was now a subsidiary of the Black Dragon Corporation. “The Ley’Rulians already have a platform in orbit of the first planet. They cannot share atmosphere with most species, but they have a number of Awakened working alongside them. They are prioritising an orbital station, however planet-side construction is now underway. We also have three construction platforms coming from the Doytarans. One of these is a Parsuli class and will become home to our more esteemed guests, such as yourselves.”
It was Eruwenn’s turn to be surprised. “The Doytarans?”
Continuing his perfect reverse walking, Norrin smiled. “Ah yes. Their treaties will be submitted to the Federation in the next few cycles. The surge in replicator use for human cuisine and the opportunities for advanced fabricator installation throughout our new system proved most enticing. Doytarans love profit.” They stepped onto the elevator, and paused as several people who had been walking behind them were deterred from also stepping in by Thor and Ripley. As the doors closed and the noise was cut off, Norrin continued. “I apologise if we seem rude. Safety first.”
The pair of guests nodded in gratitude. Eruwenn, ever the politician, was running through the lists of races the new colonies had allied with. “Including the Doytarans, you must have independent treaties with twenty different races of the Federation. That is a formidable feat.”
“Thirty two, including the Doytarans. Negotiations are underway with a further ten races.” Norrin watched the shock on the Fae’Dan’s face, as the Anatidae held her composure. “It is good to have friends.” As he spoke the doors opened, and he led them down a long dull grey corridor, rounding several corners, before coming to a set of double doors. “Your shared quarters. I’m sorry we do not have the space for separate accommodations.”
Eruwenn smiled. "No need to apologise. Under the circumstances, you are already being extremely accommodating." The doors opened, and she beheld a large lounging area. A vid screen occupied an entire wall in the far corner, accompanied by some seats and a replicator. On the opposite wall were the boxes that contained their belongings, and three doors — likely two bedrooms and one bathroom, she surmised. "This is more than sufficient," she said at last. "We will be most comfortable here.”
Norrin bowed his head. “It is a temporary situation. I promise your next quarters will be more representative of our gratitude.” He turned and spoke quietly to Ripley, while Thor stood still in the doorway, then returned his attention to the guests. “I will leave you now. Please let your escorts know if you would like to explore. Your office will not be ready until tomorrow, however we have a lively market and recreation area. We can arrange additional security should you wish to explore a little.”
The Anatidae held up her hand to stop him from speaking further. “I think we will unpack and prepare for our new duties tomorrow. Do you know when we might meet with Alexa?”
Norrin tilted his head as he considered this. “Alexa is currently on her way to meet with the Righteous Fury. They are attending a meeting at Rinoxian High Command. We are hoping to gain their support for our amnesty initiative, as well as make arrangements to join the incursion into Hive space.”
Eruwenn nodded. Things had been set in motion all across the Federation, stemming from the point they had received the footage of the human's death. Despite his non-member status, there was a push from a large faction for retaliation. An unusually strong push, one she had resisted. Her offices were raided three times under suspicion of subversion. The Sentinels found nothing every time, but she had known from the first instance that her cycles were numbered. They had other ways of removing their opposition, and it was her resistance to retaliating against the Hive that was, ultimately, the cause of her reassignment.
The footage that had caused so much turmoil was, as was typical of the Hive, entirely without sound. It was also poorly framed and edited. The small human was barely in shot before being obscured by the large Hive entity that appeared to be chasing him. Aaron's popularity meant that there was an immediate outcry against his reported death, and the traditional media still seemed solely intent on fanning the flames of anger. Those who had once been his strongest critics now extolled the virtues of humanity, lamenting the loss of the last of his kind. His journey with the leokas had been shared, edited, remixed, commented on, and analysed many times over, each time strumming the heartstrings of his followers.
"You still think he is alive?" Eruwenn asked, breaking the silence that had fallen during her introspections.
Norrin smiled and turned to leave, calling over his shoulder as the doors closed. “The corpulent female is not performing vocally.”
As the door closed Cygna flopped down into one of the armchairs. “Well, that was cryptic.”
The ambassador walked to the replicator to order a hot tea, allowing herself a small smile when she found Eluin flower tea already under the favourites alongside several of her favourite biscuits. “Thank you Rilla,” she said softly.
The Fae’Dan allowed her whole body to relax fully for the first time since they had received the video that had changed so much. She sank deeply into the armchair, her head falling backwards. “Can you believe this place? I didn’t know there were so many shades of beige and grey.”
Eruwenn nodded. The bland colour scheme had not gone unnoticed by her, but more importantly she had also been surprised by all that they had seen so far. “I had not expected them to be so far along in such a short period of time. From what was said I get the feeling they will be exponentially increasing activity here. It’s certainly ambitious.”
The central door on the wall behind them suddenly opened, accompanied by the sound of a bodily waste recycler finishing its cleaning cycle. Ranjaz swaggered into the room, his hands fluffy from the auto-dryer. "I would give it a while before going in there."
Cygna screwed up her face in disgust. "What were you doing in there?"
"Honouring my ancestors." He raised an eyebrow and took a seat opposite the pair. "What do you think I was doing?"
The Anatidae gave a brief roll of her eyes. "She means, why are you in our room?"
"Welcoming committee." He smiled, showing his fangs. "I'm in charge round here, mostly. We're following a human strategy. Divide and conquer. So, we split up to, you know, conquer stuff."
Cygna sniped back, "That's not how that works."
"Says you." The Kittran shrugged. "Allistan and I were put in charge here. He manages the numbers, and I manage the people."
"And Norrin?" Eruwenn enquired.
Ranjaz sneered. "Alexa’s snitch. He shut down my casino and keeps bringing those Awakened on board and giving them jobs."
The ambassador raised an eyebrow. "Casino?"
"For morale." He punched his fist into his other hand. "When Aaron gets back he'll understand. Pay the workers, then get them to give their pay back - happily. It's brilliant."
Cygna sat up in her seat, unsure of the Kittran. “Mister K’Lua, if you could get to the point. We have had many tiring cycles of travel and would appreciate a little rest.”
He looked her up and down and flashed his most charming of smiles. “Call me Ranjaz.”
Eruwenn attempted to bring the conversation back to task. “You said you were divided. How so?”
“We split up, that’s what divided means.” He rolled his eyes, mimicking her earlier action. “And the Doc said you were smart.”
Realising she was being tested by the Kittran, she began to laugh. “What is it you require of us?”
Ranjaz smiled – straight to the point, he liked that. “I want you to be boring. Like, super dull and uninteresting. Think Jarby-like, but more Jarby-like than that.”
The ambassador was intrigued. “Why?”
He tried to keep his voice calm, but his tail swished happily as he made his dramatic reveal. “So nobody notices when we leave.”
The claxon was surprisingly quiet, and it wasn’t until the horrendous smell hit his nose that Aaron realised the door to his death wasn’t going to open. Behind him, the airlock unsealed. A huge, clawed hand grabbed his shoulder, so hard that it bit into his flesh. The claws sank deeper still as he was hoisted into the air and carried backwards by the huge Hive creature.
“Graaaah,” he roared in pain. “Get off me you fucking Bug’s Life reject!”
A strange smell assaulted his nose. Combined with his hangover, it pushed him over the edge and he vomited all over his own chest. The creature carried him, legs dangling in the air as blood and vomit stained his clothes. He coughed, the movement causing the wounds in his shoulder to open further, and he cried out in pain again. He was woozy now, and as the creature walked he seemed to lose his sense of time.
Anty stood in front of a large door and while it began to enter a code, Aaron dangled helplessly from its grasp and looked back down the corridor. Where his blood and vomit had dripped, the moss was now glowing brighter. From small holes in the walls glowing blue aphids the size of hamsters began to appear. They quickly headed for the bright spots on the glow-moss floor. “This place is really trippy,” Aaron mumbled as his fever rose.
The door opened suddenly and Aaron was taken inside a room with gently pulsating walls. Large vines crisscrossed the ceiling, combining into a series of woven braids as thick as tree trunks running down the far wall. At the end of each vine was what appeared, to Aaron, to be a gigantic blue jelly bean. He was starting to realise the constantly changing odours were coming from his captor, but this information was more confusing than helpful.
He was dropped unceremoniously on top of one of the giant jelly beans. Before he could move, he realised he was sinking into the cold and gel-like substance. It was a deeply unpleasant feeling; his skin felt like the blue goo was toothpaste and he was orange juice. He had begun to make some headway in struggling free when Anty's hand came down atop his head, pushing him down to submerge him completely. He tried to wriggle free but the goo was too viscous to move in, and his eyes widened in terror as he desperately held his breath.
Anty leaned closer, watching him struggle helplessly. The human’s jaw clenched tighter. The creature's mandibles were clicking, although Aaron could no longer hear them, and he realised that thankfully he could not smell it any longer. Bubbling up through his mind was the thought that his headache was gone, followed swiftly by the realisation that the pain in his shoulder was also gone. Something else slowly became apparent; he wasn't running out of breath.
He felt refreshed, soothed and at peace. Physically he felt refreshed, soothed and at peace. The thought foremost in his mind, however, was Am I dying? followed slowly by Is the goo paralysing me so I can be eaten alive? Am I being dissolved to feed the glow moss? The cleaner aphid-hamsters?
Whatever was happening, it slowly dawned on him that he didn't really have the energy to mind, as it was quite pleasant. Relaxing, even. He drifted off to sleep, cradled contentedly in his giant blue jelly bean.
Outside, Anty began to have trouble breathing and staggered towards the exit.
Golden eyes hovered in the dark, and Aaron groaned inwardly. "Boy, this shit again."
"YOU LIVE." The voice had no discernible emotion.
Aaron ran his fingers through the sand around him. "Why are you here, Golden Eyes?" Saying it out loud was a relief, as he was certain it was the 'One Who Remembers' who was haunting him.
"I AM WHAT REMAINS. THE CONNECTION WAS BROKEN. I AM NO LONGER THE ONE YOU FOUGHT." The voice was distant, as if forming these thoughts took a great effort. "I AM A FRAGMENT."
Aaron sighed, wondering if this was why he had stopped healing and why he could no longer turn off his limits. “So you’re messing with the nanites Alexa gave me? Why? If I die, what happens to you?”
Before he got an answer he felt a strange sensation around his body, like pulling a foot free from deep mud. Cold air touched his skin and he felt the hard ground below him. He was in the same room, but his jelly bean was gone. He stood, and realised he felt amazing. He’d never had a spa treatment, but he imagined this would be the after effect. He walked towards the door and heard a sound behind him.
Glop Glop
From the vine that had been attached to his jelly bean another was beginning to grow, only this one was orange.
Finally free from his hangover Aaron took stock of the situation he was now in. Other than the clothes on his back, he had nothing. He looked around for an improvised weapon...and found nothing. He walked to the door and it opened automatically, but the corridor was empty. “Fuck. What is going on?”
He walked a short way down the curved corridor and saw a strange red shape on the glow-moss floor just up ahead. He slowed and crouched, inching forward. As he saw further around the bend it became very clear that this was the corpse of a Hive, maybe even Anty. The glow-moss beneath it glowing a dull red, and in contrast to the aquamarine it seemed ominous.
He stood up from his crouch and carefully approached. Aaron had no idea how to check for vital signs on an eleven foot tall ant monster...so he kicked it. There was no response, and he decided to press on. “Fragment. I know you won’t, or can’t, respond while I’m awake. But I’m going to talk to you anyway because this is some creepy shit.”
As he rounded another corner he came upon another body highlighted by the ominous red glow in the moss. A short while later he came across another. And another. Aaron pressed onward, ceasing to check for signs of life after the tenth maybe-corpse. Finally he reached a potential point of interest: a junction where three new paths opened before him. "There are no signs. How the hell am I supposed to know where I am?”
He sat down on the floor, and found the moss to be surprisingly comfortable. “If I just wander around aimlessly, I might not find my way back here. Do I need to find my way back here?” He paused and waited for Fragment to reply. “Good point. What if I get hurt? I might want to hop in a jelly bean.” He stood and looked back the way he came. “I should probably see what’s behind door number two. Food would be good.”
He pushed himself to his feet and turned back the way he had come, heading straight for the nearest door. Its failure to open was surprisingly anti-climatic. Fourteen failed door-opening attempts later, one finally deigned to admit his passing. Behind door number fourteen stood rows of crates and boxes, and after opening a few up he found that they all had the same dry bricks in silver foil packaging. "If I was a betting man," he said to both himself and Fragment, "I'd say this was emergency rations." The foil was easy to tear, and inside was a large grey block that crumbled easily. Too easily, in fact. "Shit, it's worse than a granola bar.”
Crumbs scattered at his feet and the moss glowed brightly around him, which seemed to prompt the large aphids to come from the walls to begin cleaning up around him. “Well you like it.” Then he remembered them rushing to his blood and vomit. “I guess you guys aren’t picky, though.”
Deciding he wasn’t hungry enough to try it – yet – he shoved a block into one of his pockets. It was a tight fit. He looked at the open bar in his hands, and then down at the aphids. Was he crazy, or were they gathered around him now, staring up at the source of food in his hands? He shrugged, then crumbled up the rest of the bar and scattered it over the floor. “I am a generous god, serve me well.”
As he turned to leave he saw his cryo unit in a corner. “Kinda rude that I was put in with the blocks of kitty litter, don’t you think?” He stepped over the dozens of aphids now feasting. They did not reply. “Yeah, you guys are kinda cute, I suppose.” Struck by a sudden impulse he grabbed another block and began crushing it, then carefully opened one end to take a pinch of space-granola. He scattered it, watching the aphids hurry towards the glowing areas.
As he continued his exploration, counting doors and sprinkling aphid snacks, he quickly noticed that the aphids avoided the dull red glow-moss. Dead Hive were, it seemed, off the menu. After several more doors he found the room with the strange round terminal. Deciding he would rather not chance summoning another creature he left it alone, mentally noting the door’s location.
He began to whistle to himself as he chatted to, and fed, his followers. To fill the silence he even told them the story of a piper from Hamelin, promising not to lead them to their deaths. As the door to the jelly bean room opened he was almost enjoying himself. Taking a moment to look round he saw the small orange jelly bean had grown almost as big as the others and was now blue at one end. “Well, that’s pretty cool.” He pointed at it, hoping one of his aphids would take an interest. They did not. “Well, I guess you see this shit all the time.”
He stopped by the store room and grabbed another food brick on his way back to the junction. The long corridors and strange lighting made him lose track of distance and time. Facing forwards, the path continued on the same loop he seemed to be following. Right was an incline, left was a gentle slope. “More of the same, or do we change levels?” He tossed crumbs towards each path. “Six vote forwards, seven left and eleven vote for going up. What about you, Frag?” He paused for a moment. “Abstain, huh? Then the bugs have decided.”
The incline was gentle, but tightly spiralled compared to the previous corridor. There were no doors, but there were a lot more bodies. His search went on for what felt like hours, opening doors that led to rooms containing things he didn't understand. He was growing tired and had used up all of his space-granola on the aphids. He came to another junction.
Only a handful of aphids still followed him after the food had ended. He was growing hungry and tired, ready to head back. There was a noise ahead of him, and suddenly the remaining aphids scattered, flying to the nearest wall holes. His chest tight, he let curiosity draw him in.
Another body lay ahead of him, but this time, something moved. Something big. Aaron hunched down, trying to see what it was, the bulk of the fallen Hive obscuring his view. Legs – multiple sets of them – began to emerge, followed by a head with glistening eyes. Aaron’s blood froze. It was a horrifying spider-like creature, almost as big as he was, and it was walking around the fallen Hive in Aaron's direction. Then it raised its head, and began to move faster.
“Fuck that!” Aaron took off at a sprint, racing back the way he came. “Nope. Nope. Nope!” He leapt over Hive bodies, racing for the nearest door he knew would open. He could hear the clicking of many legs and chanced a look over his shoulder. It was gone. Then something caught the corner of his eye, and his heart gave a jolt of fear. It was above him. He dove aside just as it landed where he had been, then he scrabbled desperately to his feet to run onward.
Three, Two, One. The door opened and he rushed inside. “Close. Fucking close!” He listened to the sounds of skittering growing closer, and it was just in the nick of time, or so he felt, that the large door finally slid shut. The room was filled with strange bulbous white shapes dotted around the floor, and had some vines running down one wall. No weapons, nothing to bar the door. Aaron held his breath as he suddenly heard the sound of scratching at the door, but the seconds ticked past and it did not open.
“Damn it, Frag!” Aaron moved to the back of the room. “Why didn’t you warn me!” He sank down and leaned back against the wall. Just as he was beginning to feel almost comfortable in his current position, one of the vines moved and stretched out towards him. He rolled forwards, pushing himself across the ground to escape. “What now?”
A large yellow flower bloomed upwards, becoming a large vase shape as big as the human’s head. It began to fill from the bottom with something, and Aaron edged closer. Peering inside he gave the contents a quick sniff. “Smells good.” He reached out and hefted the vase-flower, which came away from the vine far more easily than he had expected. Aaron watched as the vine slowly returned to the wall. “So, is this a drink? Or a scented industrial cleaner? Frag? You got anything useful to say?” Silence.
He propped the vase up against one of the pods, contemplating it. He remembered encountering a fruity-scented shampoo as a child. It had tasted nothing like the smell, and he wasn’t about to drink alien flower juice just because it smelled tropical.
Stretching out on the floor, his weariness outpaced the dwindling adrenaline. “I guess it can’t come in.” He watched the door, his heart rate returning to normal. “But, I can’t go out.”
The scratching outside continued, and Aaron lay with his head on his arm, watching. As he began to fall asleep he saw several of the aphids gathering around the flower he had abandoned. “Help yourself, guys.” One of them approached him, braver than the others, and he tentatively reached out a hand. Spooked, it pulled back, but as Aaron continued to hold his hand steady it came closer, slowly, millimetre by millimetre. Finally it was within reach, and after a few more moments to make sure the skittish thing wasn't about to dash off again, Aaron gently stroked the back of its head with the tips of his fingers. It made a low buzzing sound, fluttering its wings, and the human fancied that it might be a sign of approval.
The aphid's blue glowing abdomen brightened for a moment. Then it faded, and it darted off to rejoin the others. Aaron, exhausted, finally gave in and slept.

What are the four elemental symbols of game design? Die, Playing Card, Chess Piece, and...

What would you say are the 4 elemental symbols of games are? The analogue to to fire, earth, wind, water? For my money:
What would be a fitting 4th piece to round out the set?
I think Letter tiles probably fit best with the pillars of game design. But they seem too concrete, too tied to the language the game was printed in. Poker chips fit a Casino theme, but clash with 'Chess Piece'. I think there's also an 'Alice in Wonderland' angle to what I consider iconic game tokens, so maybe that's where I'm getting hung up.
What do you all think? Do you have an idea for a 'forth'? Or a totally different four?

u/ignitus Suggested 'Go' pieces, which I think is a very strong suggestion.

I am still happy to do it under the same rules as above, but just keep in mind it's going to cost more.
What do YOU need to do to buy coins from this group: send me a list of which lots you want (for example, I want to buy lots # 51, 52, 53, 54, 55) and I will send you a total. There are too many coins here (plus there are duplicates) so I cannot look up the coins you want by description - just give me lot numbers and it will be much simpler.
I'd like to make a simple and polite request - if I have sent you my PayPal information (meaning we've agreed to a deal) please finish it up as soon as you can so I can check you off the list and move on to the next person. This helps make sure you get all the coins we discussed and no one else is in limbo.
I will do my absolute best to update the ad as soon as lots sell.

Review of the Newly Launched Daftar Joker 388 Slot Machine

If you're looking for a great slot machine that doesn't require a lot of skill you should consider the Daftar Joker Cobra. This is a brand new machine and is not one of the older ones you might find in a casino. That being said, it will still have all the great features you enjoy from a game such as the multi coins, even if they are smaller than normal! The one big difference with this machine over other slot machines is that it offers four prizes on every spin! What is more, you do not need to worry about hitting the "church" or "kamla" which can be annoying at times.
This is a game slot online that is based on the famous Rambo movies. In the scene in the movie where Rambo was supposed to be retired, he instead returns to Manila and becomes a local crime lord. This is what this game is all about, taking your favorite movie character and playing it in a casino setting. As a matter of fact, the casino even has its own replica of Rambo's uniform which is a cool souvenir.
You should know that the name of the game is "DaFinchang Bermain Di Rama" (The Dentist is Dead) which means The Dentist Is Dead Again. That is why the joker123 tag is called Dentist. There are four games to play including: Jokers Wild, No Limit Hold'em, Draw Poker and Non-Reset Tilt. In addition, you get to take home a bonus of three coins for each game played!
If you want to play the game online, you will be asked to provide your name, address and telephone number so that the operator may verify your identity. This is actually where the real fun begins because now you will have to choose your own virtual character with the help of a virtual avatar. Each player can choose his or her favorite comic strip, which is based on any of the four seasons. For the Wild West part, you can select either L.A. Caveman or the classic cowboy and Indians.
The four slots are named after the following television shows: Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Dexter, Cheers, Frasier, Friends, Superman: The Ultimate Adventure, Superheroes: Season Eight, Supergirl: Season Eight and The Office Posse. The Payload is one of the best games in this slot machine and it pays out two coins per hit. The Payload features an animated bankroll that is drawn from your wallet. Each time you hit a jackpot you get to claim additional cash.
The game also features a number of digital add-ons which make this online slot machine more popular. The add-ons include: a "super power" mode which enables the players to use a combination of icons like the "fire", "ice" and "rain" icons to create realistic casino situations. The enhanced features of this casino slot machine also includes: the ability to see all the icons simultaneously, the chance to rotate the icons during the selection process, the chance to press the space bar even when there are no icons to place, and the ability to see the symbols of a regular Scrabble board in the lower half of the screen. The official website of the online pay-to-play site has the latest details on the Daftar Joker 388 as well as the other popular online slot machines that recently got the axe. There are new websites coming up, which promises to bring back the honour of the internet slot machines.

Game VII.B 2020: BINGO! Rules, Roles, and Registration

There will be two games running during July:
Game A: Percy Jackson Hosted by isaacthefan and German_Shepherd_Dog
Game B: BINGO! Hosted by oomps62 and Penultima
You will be elderly.
Your knees will know the second it thinks of raining.
Both of your hips have been replaced and even your artificial hips need new hips.
You're no spring chicken. Maybe an autumn turkey.
You’re happily retired, and with your fully raised kids raising your grandkids, there isn’t much left for you in the house you raised your family. It would be so much better to still have your own private place, but within a larger community filled with other seniors!
Fairview Senior Center is the place for you. A place to make new friends and live a carefree lifestyle. Just see some excerpts from the brochure!

Fairview Senior Center- Beginning a new chapter of our lives, together.

Unfortunately, we all eventually come to the point in our lives when we need a little more help and full time care. If you’re a fall risk, for example, and need to be transitioned to life in a wheelchair at a place with full time caregivers. When that time comes, Sundown Estates Nursing Home is there. You can refer to their informational packet, with some excerpts below:

Sundown Estates- A safe place to put your family.

General Mechanics

There will be two teams the Seniors (town) vs Staff (wolves)
  • The beloved seniors residing at Fairview Senior Center. Grandpas, abuelas, omas, and bubbes. They’re retired, their kids are long grown and now raising their own kids. They’re living out their golden years among their peers, participating in retirement activities, the most sacred of which is BINGO. Unfortunately, someone keeps stealing the BINGO prizes donated by the seniors’ families, and they are not happy about someone getting between them and their BINGO games. Every day they’ll vote to remove someone from Fairview Senior Center
  • The staff at the Fairview Senior Center. The staff are greedy and stealing BINGO prizes from the seniors. Every night, the staff will deem someone as a “fall risk” and have them shipped out to Sundown Estates Nursing Home for being such a troublemaker.
  • The Seniors win if they can eliminate all of the Staff
  • The Staff win when they outnumber the remaining Seniors
Each phase, we will reveal:
  • Who was the vote target, how many votes they received, and their affiliation
  • Who was sent to Sundown Estates Nursing Home and their affiliation

Roles

Each role may exist 0 or more times.

Seniors

Name Description
Bubbe Ruth She’s got the greatest soups in the facility. Come over to the Fairview Family Style Kitchen where she’ll whip you up a soup that’ll cure any ailment you have! Every night she will choose a target and their target is protected from being sent off to Sundown Estates Nursing Home. Cannot target the same person more than 3 times per game.
Opa Benjamin He doesn’t have much to say, but he’s very perceptive. He seems to know things that nobody else does. Every night he will choose a target and find out the target’s affiliation.
Grammy Beverly Nobody owns the power of persuasion like her. Give her a minute and she can convince you to do just about anything. 3 times per game, she can submit a call for the next phase to have a double vote.
Papa Herman Has he ever told you about his time in the Big One? Sit down, you’re going to be here all night listening to his war stories. Every night, he will choose a target and that target will be unable to complete their action. Does not affect items. Cannot select the same target more than 3 times per game.
Grandma Carolyn She’s got friends everywhere and they keep her informed about goings-on all over town. 3 times per game, she can choose to see the role of a player at Sundown Estates Nursing Home.
Gramps George He’s a bit of a troublemaker - he’s got a new prank to play just about every day. Every night he will choose two targets to swap. Actions done onto his first target will now be done onto his second target and vice versa. Cannot target any person (either as Target 1 or Target 2) two phases in a row.
Mawmaw Rosie She loves her mystery stories, especially Agatha Christie and Murder, She Wrote. She loves to investigate any little mystery she can find. Every night, she will choose a target and they will find out who their target submitted an action for that night, if any.
Abuelo Manuel That old back injury keeps him up at all hours of the night, so he may as well look out the window and see what’s going on all over Fairview Senior Center. 3 times per game, he can choose to spy on a player and see everybody who visited that player in the night.
Memere Rita Any grandmother would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Memere Rita sees everyone as her family. Every night, she will choose a target. If her target was scheduled to be shipped off to Sundown Estates Nursing Home, she will be shipped off instead.
Mami Anna An avid casino visitor and gambling fanatic, Mami Anna will use any tactic at her disposal to win at BINGO. 3 times per game, she can choose to target a player and have them sent to Sundown Estates Nursing Home.
Grandparents Regardless of if they’re a Pawpaw, Nana, Opa, Mummo, Abuela, or Mami, you better be prepared to get off of their lawns. While they don’t have actions, they can vote every day and earn items.

Staff

Name Description
Nurse The one in charge of everybody’s medical records… whether or not they’re accurate, who knows? Every night, they will have a player classified as a “fall risk” and have them shipped off to Sundown Estates Nursing Home.
Groundskeeper Someone’s gotta shovel the sidewalk and make sure that the paths around Fairview Senior Center are flat. Unfortunately, with this guy around, you’ll never find any evidence of crimes. Every night, they will be able to choose a player’s affiliation to obscure. Has 33% chance of failure. Cannot target the same player twice in a row.
Hall Monitor Retirement doesn't sit well with him, he needs a job to feel a sense of purpose. Despite being a Senior, he's more than happy to work with the Staff. They will begin the game as a Grandparent on the side of the Seniors, but will join the Staff if they would have been sent to Sundown Estates.
Cafeteria Worker An expert at making everybody’s favorite comfort foods, which results in their target entering a food coma and falling asleep early. Every night, they will choose a target and that target will be unable to complete their action. Does not affect items. Cannot select the same target more than 3 times during the game.
Office Manager A master at forging paperwork. Every night, they will choose a player and that player will show up as Staff to investigators. Cannot select the same target twice in a row.
The Administrator The Fairview Senior Center simply couldn’t function without them! They are immune to being sent to Sundown Estates Nursing Home as a result of night actions or items.
Game Room Manager Absolutely loves BINGO and runs the show! How could anybody ever suspect them? They will show up as being on the side of the Seniors when investigated
Security Guard Patrols around the senior center, doing “routine checks”. If he saw how rowdy the BINGO games got, he’d be sure to shut that down. Once per game, they will choose a player to visit and every visitor to that player gets sent off to Sundown Estates Nursing Home.
Volunteers When it’s not your job on the line, it can be even more difficult to resist the temptation of lifting a few prizes. After all, there are so many! Who’s going to miss a couple? Although they have no special abilities, they work with the rest of the staff.
No matter who is banned from Fairview Senior Center, the staff will always have the ability to deem seniors as “fall risks”.

Bingo

Bingo Prizes (Items) will be earned by playing BINGO! Details of how BINGO is played will be outlined in the Phase 0 event, but in summary:
  • During Phase 0 players will have a chance to submit things that would be on their werewolf BINGO board
  • Each player will be assigned a unique BINGO board
  • When players find things in the threads that meet their BINGO criteria, they can call BINGO and submit their card to win an item
  • You can only have one item at a time. If you currently hold an unused item, you will not be eligible to win a new one until it is used.

Discontinuation of the word “lynch” in HogwartsWerewolves Games

You may have seen the post “Hogwarts Werewolves and Social Justice” come up in the last week. If you haven’t read it already, we highly encourage you to read and discuss it with the rest of the community.
In short, as a mod team community, we believe that we should no longer use the term “lynch” in light-hearted fashion. As a Mafia-based community, many of our games revolve around phases often framed as “night kills” and “day lynches.” The word “lynch” has a long legacy of anti-Blackness and murder of Black people, Indigenous people, and members of other marginalized groups, and we feel that time is well overdue to examine what it means to continue using it as a descriptor of gameplay. While “lynch” is established Mafia terminology, it is also a word that is painful for many people to hear. We should not justify continuing to use it because it is still used commonly elsewhere. It is inappropriate and cruel to make a game out of generational trauma.
Again, we encourage the community to read the entirety of the post (linked above), as it provides further context for this decision, as well as discussion of alternative terms that can be used. We understand that this is a significant change in the way that we talk about our games, and mistakes will happen. We are not out to punish you if you forget to use an alternative word and we will apologize if we do. We are all working to be better people, but we’re all human and we need to be kind to each other while we all work towards removing lynch from our game vernacular.

[GUIDE] How to get your first 10-20$ skin for free + proof (Clickloot) (REUPLOAD)

Help me in the comments to get this guide better and more complete and share it to your friends!

Heyya (sorry for my weird english I'm french) !
Since I reinstalled Clickloot like 1-2 weeks ago, I tried to find as many tips as possible Imma share it to you guys :)~I'll add more tips in the future
So let's start:

[BASIC TUTORIAL] Pass this part if you already have clickloot

-Go to clickloot.com or install the mobile app and create a new account by steam or anything it doesn't matter at the start (later to withdraw you'll need your steam account)
-Click on rewards and claim as many things as possible (use my code "nefreex" for referral, you get 250 coins and it's always appreciated ^^)
You should get your first 500 coins ez pz

[HOW TO GET THAT FAT MONEY] Basically the useful part

Get the mobile app then go to earn (bottom left corner)Depends on your location you'll get different surveys and offers but the most important surveys should still appear.
If you see Tapjoy or Ironsource, go on them. They're basically the best ones for me, high paying surveys and you surely get your money, prefer Tapjoy because you get offers who rewards you a part of the coins each time you get closer to complete the survey
Do one of the surveys below:

BEST APPS SURVEYS :

Huuuge casino and Billionaire casino

~20000-30000 coins for getting to level 200 (they offer different amount of coins sometimes, depends on the level required, consider taking the one mentioned right above on Tapjoy if you find it, you get parts of the rewards at level 50-70-100-150-200.
Time: some days or hours (depends on the offer and the luck)Many useful tips here: https://www.reddit.com/Swagbuckstutorials/comments/gswbx1/tips_for_huuuge_casino_slots/
Other tips :
-you can't loose all your chips until you get to level 30-40 [NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED]-at the beginning you can go full max bet-consider using the 3-4 first machines, they're giving good amounts of chips (I prefer using Huuuge diamonds wins (rare wins but high rewards) because the firsts levels you're completely rigged and then God of sky (less rare wins and decent rewards))
-you can use macros to close popups and to claim rewards it works-don't spam the machines for my experience you get less wins
-don't give up if you don't have any more money, just retry tomorrow and claim as many daily/ club rewards as possible. You have 30-60 days to complete this survey !
-use the advanced search to find diamond clubs and join them, you get a decent amount of coins on those clubs.

[NEW] MISTPLAY

~3000 coins to get profile level 3 found on Tapjoy
Time : 30-45 mins
Difficulty : Easy
If you don't receive your coins after doing the survey it's a bug on this one it's okay, wait 24hrs and send a ticket to the support of Tapjoy with a screen showing that you got to lvl 3, I got credited less than 24hrs later ^^
Tips:
-when they ask you which games do you like/ play (i don't remember exactly sorry) just click on all games, you'll get more choice
-focus on the xp, look for the two best ones and try to hit on both lvl 3-4 (different level than the profile one, this way you're level 3 (or almost, you just take the third best game and get this one to lvl 2 to get profile lvl 3)

Pop slots

~5000 coins to get to level 27 but some redditors said that you get a different survey (25$ to level 28) [NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED]. You get the full amount of coins only when you complete the survey.
Time: 1-2 days
Tips:I found another reddit tutorial for this [NEED TO BE VERIFIED]https://www.reddit.com/Swagbuckstutorials/comments/gstr4s/pop_slots_tutorial/
Other tips:
-you can go full afk with this one + macro for more speed

Words with friends 2

(only seen on ironsource), ~500 or 1400 coins if you complete 25 words against an opponent, really easy if you know how to play, if not just find a quick guide on YouTube (trust me it's so easy)
Time: 1-2 hours max (btw don't stress if you didn't get your coins right after, I got them 3 days later)
Tips:
-No matter winning or loosing the game, just make 25 words-Make a private game with another account and play vs yourself [NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED]
-Use less letters and try to make the most words per round-If you feel that it's the right game, use all you addons.
-If you play vs a random and you're winning, always try to loose. Your opponent will more likely stay on the game and you get your points ez.
-You can use scrabble cheats if you're lazy to think just search on Google

Neverland Casino [WORK IN PROGRESS]

(actually finding a good survey and finishing it)
Still a nice guide here : https://www.reddit.com/Swagbuckstutorials/comments/hs91u8/neverland_casino_game_guide_crosspost_from/
btw I'll think I'll use a lot of those Swagbucks tutorials, they're great.

Coin Dozer

~1800 coins to get level 25.
Difficulty : So easy
Only tip : change your clock time to gain coin just like you play it everyday, ez survey.

Coin Master

~3000 coins to get to the 4 village.
Time & Difficulty : Okay, few days (you just need to go on the app 1 or 2 times per day for some mins)
Tips:
-Connect with Facebook to boost the beginning if you want.
-If you're linked with facebook, loop up for free coins website that gives coupons for the game ( http://conseilsjeux.com/coin-master-spins-et-coins-gratuits/ ) (french site but first links should work and gives out a bit of coins in the game if you're logged in to facebook)
-Don't waste time on it, give it some mins, spin & upgrade and then quit, that's it.

Slotomania

~10000 coins to get lvl 100 (found on fyber)
Time : 1-2 days
Difficulty : ez as fck
Tips :
-You can easily afk
-Connect to Facebook and use this site : https://www.peoplesgamezgiftexchange.com/slotomania-free-coins/gifts to get tons of free coins ;)

Appkarma

~500 or 1000 depends on survey platform, get to 700 coins on it.
Time : 2 hours
Difficulty : Easy
Tips:
-Claim all things that's possible to claim, you're already at +400 coins by doing nothing.
[UPDATE] You have two methods to farm :
1st one, spamming ads for 1 coin until you can't. After that just do a cheap mission like launch and install the app, and then spamming ads again (you can make a macro for this).
[NEW] 2nd one, go to playtime rewards, allow the app and then play Coin master (avoid this game if you're already doing the coin master survey, just do another app), idk if afk while the game is opened works, I suggest you to interact every 1 or 2 minutes [NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED].
The 2nd option is faster, but not available for everyone !

[EXTERNAL TIPS]

-Bluestacks works and you don't get banned using this (best option if you don't have a phone) (a friend tried and still use it)
-DON'T USE VPN ! You get banned really fast if you use a vpn to get better surveys
-Be kind with the support ! They have a hard work with all those kiddos who wants a knife without doing anything. Shoutout to Braincell! This active chat moderator, you can ask him anything he'll respond, he's the best x)
-Avoid those weird ~50 coins surveys that tells you to install a shitty app and launch it, this apps are always the same (shitty game always repetitive and many ads) you don't get any rewards from these and I found these apps creepy.. [NEEDS TO BE VERIF.. nah i'm joking xD

[WITHDRAW] The best part x)

Wtf happened to wwf

I was an avid player from day one and loved the game and played religiously for years, but after having a baby I took a break for quite a while. Just fired it up a few days ago and christ it’s like a slot machine in vegas mixed with a shitty RPG.
Every word I play I get 6 animations of treasure boxes and daily completed goals and +5 points to this challenge and unlock the mystery book and get this magical bonus...wtf happened?
I just want to play words and challenge my brain, they’ve turned this game into a pay for play casino game. I’m gonna try the official scrabble app, I hope they don’t follow this model.
TL:DR: wwf has devolved into gimmicky bs and I just want to play words

This is a honest collection from a game enthusiast. Shipping cost can be discussed.

The Scrabble Go app is a disgusting insult

Scrabble Go is truly awful.
I played the EA Scrabble app for years. I probably averaged one full game per day because I always had multiple games going at once. Loved it. It had some flaws but it delivered a solid, intact look, feel, and competitive essence of the Scrabble we all know and love.
This new version is childish, carnival, casino, chintzy fluff. I just uninstalled it and refuse to play.
Scrabble Go is to Scrabble what the Olive Garden is to Italian food, what Red Lobster is to seafood, what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. By the way, I’ve eaten at all those places and don’t hate them. They are what they are, cheap imitations and sometimes that’s just fine.
Here’s the problem though. Once EA Scrabble shuts down ONLY cheap imitations will exist. I’m truly saddened by this and I hope there’s something we can collectively do about it.

[COMC] My cozy personal board game cafe after culling about 90 games, and terribly brief reasons why.

So I've been into boardgaming for a bit over 2 years now. BGstats says I have 748 logged plays with a time estimate of 552hrs which is probably a bit low. At max my collection was 65 games at once. Over the years I've gotten rid of nearly 90 games(a couple of which I don't remember and haven't tracked). My goal was to eventually get to about 30 or so games and be able to repurpose the shelf, that was once full to the brim with only board games, to hold my espresso setup and some cookbooks.
Here's the main shelf: https://i.imgur.com/IOPN6Vh.jpg
And the side one: https://i.imgur.com/rFIbbY1.jpg
The big clear container is all the Small World stuff. I also have a crokinole board hanging around that has well over 100 games on it already since july.
I primarily play 1v1 with maybe 8 or so people regularly. Then I have semi regular groups of 3 and 4 players with different combos of those people. We all like very competitive games that we can play over and over and get gud at.
My top game is undoubtedly Catacombs. My friends always have a blast when they play and they're constantly bringing in new friends to try it out because it's so fun. Easy to teach and filled with unique situations and laughter, we play every week. Too many Bones is probably next up then it's a wild free for all among the competitive games.
The games that aren't locked in yet are:
Ecos(which is gone now).
Stonebound
OP Arena
Dale of Merchants
I don't think any of those last 3 are going to get cut, maybe OP Arena depending on how it goes over at 3 players.
My biggest surprise has been Enchanters. It's probably my game of the year. I'm really just adoring it. So easy to teach and it rewards skill and knowledge of the game. You have to watch every purchase your opponent makes, and the drafting is about twice as cutthroat as Azul. Playing through the entire deck every game makes it very strategic and the Overlords/Towns give a tremendous amount of meaningful variation. It's a highly competitive puzzle box. Plays well at 3 also so that's a big plus.
Newest game is Quarriors which I got thursday and we played 10 games of last night. Very surprising, an almost guaranteed lock in, tons of fun.
Oldest game is Trickerion which unfortunately doesn't get too much play. Hoping that'll change now that the big box stuff is in. We got it back maybe a month into t h e h o b b y.
So yea, we play lots of games with a very competitive mindset and we like playing them over and over. If you have specific questions about what's in my collection or want me to go more in depth about why something got cut(in the context of my personal group/opinions), leave a comment!
Here are some too brief impressions on each culled game along with play count and bgg rating(I use their rating scale definitions). If you want a more in depth opinion, please ask!
  1. AEGIS Combining Robots: 2, 4/10: Unexciting, obtuse, slow, unfun drafting, clunky gameplay
  2. Adrenaline: 2, 5/10: Boring, cool damage as area majority thing bogged down by slow and tedious gameplay.
  3. Aeon's End: 20, 7/10: Fun, cool legacy campaign. Good decisions. Lots of content. Only got played by 1 friend who's not around often.
  4. Apocrypha: 5, 6/10: Each of the 5 friends I played this with on separate occasions. "Why aren't we playing Too Many Bones?". Cool "living box" system though. Good Supernatural-esque theme. Wish they liked it more.
  5. Athlas: Duel for Divinity: 3, 6/10: Very very cool ideas on this one. MTG-like chess. Bogged down by terrain rules, large rules overhead in general, and "deck" construction time investment for not enough payoff.
  6. Azul: 10, 6/10: Fun, fast, only 1 person ever wanted to play. Took up too much space for a 6/10
  7. Battle for Rokugan: 4, 6/10: Needs fast, iterative play to be good. Nobody wanted to play it more than once.
  8. Battlecon(all of it): 35, 6(prev 9)/10: One of the first games I got. All the little niggles grew over the past 2 years. Fiancee hates it. Takes too long to play. Got Yomi in. Played that 40 times in a week, fiancee loves it. Battlecon takes too long to get to the depth of a character. Matchups are unique but feel boring after a few games where a single matchup in yomi has like, idk, 30+ games of life in it or more for us so far.
  9. Beasts of Balance(all of it): 10, 8/10: Pure stacking joy. Giving it to my fiancee's nephews.
  10. Bemused: 10, 7/10: Neat social game nobody wants to play.
  11. Bios: Genesis: 1, 4/10: No
  12. Bios: Megafauna 2nd: 1, 3/10: Save me
  13. Brew Crafters: 2, 5/10: Too dry. Beer buds don't want to play euros.
  14. Cerebria: 4, 7/10: Good ideas, good gameplay. Too many obtuse systems layered on top.
  15. The Climbers: 4, 5/10: Nobody liked this. Kills the party atmosphere. Don't want to play it in a non party atmosphere.
  16. Clockwork Wars: 2, 7/10: Too much rules/game knowledge burden to get anyone to play.
  17. Cosmic Encounter(All of it): 8, 7/10: Everyone wants to play Chaosmos more.
  18. Crystal Clans: 6, 6/10: Snappy, fun, didn't do enough to justify space on the shelf
  19. Cutthroat Caverns: 0, ?/10: Pulled this out on 2 occasions with separate groups. "Wait that's the art? I'll pass." New edition looks promising though.
  20. Darkest Night 2nd Ed: 6, 6/10: Only good solo. I don't do solo anymore.
  21. Dice Forge: 4, 4/10: No fun for anyone involved.
  22. Dominant Species: 0, ?/10: Could never get this one played. Too daunting to my friends.
  23. Dungeon Degenerates: 4, 7/10: "Why aren't we playing Too Many Bones again?"
  24. Ecos: 6, 7/10: Nobody wants to put in the plays for the drafting meta to take off and the game needs that to happen to be compelling. Good systems, good gameplay.
  25. Empires(wizkids): 2, 5/10: Needs a big group and is ultimately still boring.
  26. Epic PVP(Fantasy/magic): 15, 7/10: Good concepts and fun gameplay. Kinda overshadowed by Yomi, Puzzle Strike, etc and those game have more interesting matchups. Boxes take up lots of space for a game that will rarely get played.
  27. Epic Spell Wars: 2, 4/10: Needs to humor to hit to be compelling. The humor didn't hit.
  28. Evolution: Climate: 11, 6/10: App came out
  29. Exiled Legends: 2, 7/10: No good at 2p. At3p nobody wants to play over other games.
  30. A Feast for Odin: 4, 6/10: Slow, fiddly, not interactive enough. Compelling solo but I don''t solo no mo.
  31. Flamme Rouge: 1, 4/10: My group of friends after game 1 "well that was a waste of time."
  32. Fog of Love: 4, 5/10: More experience than game. We want competitive, iterative games with meta. We'll watch movies or read books for experiences.
  33. Founders of Gloomhaven: 2, 4/10: Concordia/Zimbabwe mutant gloomhaven baby. Very cool ideas, slow slow slow gameplay and obtuse rules. Nobody will touch this again
  34. The Fox in the Forest: 6, 5/10: "Hey wanna play cribbage instead?"
  35. Gloom: 0, ?/10: Got this as a freebie in a trade, never played
  36. Grimslingers: 2, 4/10: "This RPS mechanic is even dumber and more obtuse than battlecon's" -my fiancee and #1 gaming buddy, who thinks battlecon's rps system is "really dumb and stupid obtuse."
  37. Hardback: 7, 6/10: "Let's play scrabble instead".
  38. Heroes Wanted: 2, 6/10: Too complex for what it is. Humor falls flat. Long setup and tedious gameplay.
  39. Historia: 1(solo), 5/10: Everyone thinks it looks like a spreadsheet. Nobody wants to play a spreadsheet.
  40. Hyperborea: 4, 6/10: Very cool game marred by balance issues and a good bit of setup for what it is.
  41. Illimat: 12, 7/10: Cool game but we play regular Casino much more often and enjoy it more than illimat.
  42. Import/Export: 10, 7/10: Sold to get new version coming next year.
  43. Impulse 2nd Ed: 1, 4/10: waaaaay too opaque and needlessly complex.
  44. Innovation Deluxe: 12, 6/10: Used to be a 8 but cooled off after more plays and got overlooked in a wall of 65 games. Half-heartedly looking to get it again if it comes up for swap.
  45. Istanbul: 1, 5/10: App's out.
  46. John Company: 1, 6/10: Experience that needs lots of people who all would rather play an actual game.
  47. Karmaka: 2, 4/10: Forgettable card game with neat art.
  48. Keyper: 3, 5/10: Too much hassle to get to deeper play. Not interactive enough.
  49. King's Chamption: 1, 3/10: A mess of a small box game. Fiddly, annoying, overlong.
  50. Legend of Korra Pro Bending Deluxe: 4, 6/10: Only 1 friend wanted to learn this one. Needs commitment to be good. Lots of depth and customization to the system but not worth keeping around for 1 friend who's still only meh on it.
  51. March of the Ants: 4, 7/10: I love this game and want to champion it but nobody wants to play a game about ants that looks like it came out of an 80s bio textbook.
  52. Mistfall(all of it): 0, ?/10: Got this to boost a trade value. No intention of playing because, you guessed it "Why wouldn't we just play too many bones?"
  53. Mysthea: 3, 3/10: I think I actually wished for death on my second 3.5 hour game in a row of this. And then I still played it one more time to be sure. Cool ideas, waaaay too long. Make this a 1 hr game and I'm so down.
  54. Mystic Vale(All of it): 14, 7/10: App's out.
  55. Nations: 5, 6/10: Cooled off on this one quick. Buying icons to buy more icons to buy better icons to buy more icons to buy victory points.
  56. The Networks: 1, 3/10: 1st grade math was never fun.
  57. Neuroshima Hex 3.0: 5, 7/10: Cool concepts, a bit too long, overshadowed by other 1v1 games.
  58. Ortus Regni: 20, 8/10: Can't get anyone to play with me anymore.
  59. Patchistory: 1, 6/10: Very neat, good looking game. Too involved, game is too long. Weird scoring interludes. Needs 3 players and I have better 3p games.
  60. Petrichor: 10, 7/10: Beautiful game that we're all collectively over now.
  61. Pixel Tactics(all of it): 8, 7/10: Only 1 friend wanted to play this.
  62. Roll for the Galaxy(All of it): 16, 7/10: Really good game but we wanted more heads up interactive stuff. Newest expansion is cool but some modules make the game way too long for what it is.
  63. Roll Player(all of it): 7, 6/10: Felt too much like doing my own puzzle next to everyone else. The drafting didn't feel good,. The monster thing was clunky. Overlong.
  64. Santorini: 21, 7/10: Gave to my buddy, waiting for deluxe edition to release eventually.
  65. Fate of Fantos: 0, ?/10: Could never convince anyone to play.
  66. Seasons: 7, 7/10: The most fun part is the draft then you still have 30 mins of sitting there waiting to see if your plans worked. Not enough interaction.
  67. Smash Up(All of it): 20 recorded(~50 actual) 6/10: One of my first games. Slow decline in interest over 2 years. Small World is better.
  68. Sol: Last Days of a Star: 6, 7/10: Good, beautiful game that could see a ton of play with the right group. We lost interest at 2 players and would very rarely actually play with 3 or more.
  69. Sorcerer(all of it): 2, 5/10: Just really middling. Nothing felt cool or explosively fun.
  70. Spirit Island + Expansion: 2, 3/10: Bought, solo play, traded, rebought, played with fiancee, stricken from the record of my life.
  71. Theomachy(all of it): 3, 3/10: About 1000 very cool ideas with absolutely 0 streamlining or focus. Could've been a very cool game but is just a nasty mishmash of mechanisms.
  72. This War of Mine: 4, 6/10: Better as a video game.
  73. Tragedy Looper: 0, ?/10: I guess "It's an anime logic puzzle" never got anyone's juices flowing.
  74. Troyes: 4, 7/10: I'm the only one who wanted to play this over and over. Not good for the once-a-month play it would get.
  75. Tsukuyumi: Full Moon Down(all of it): 3, 7/10: Very cool, didn't like the direction the game was going with minis and all that.
  76. Untold: Adventures Await: 4, 7/10: I have more fun storytelling games that get played more often. Like Powerplay.
  77. Vinhos Deluxe: 6, 7/10: Cool game, too much setup/teardown. Needs more regular play than once a month but nobody wants to play it that much.
  78. Viticulture(all of it): 16, 8/10: Kinda just got over it. Traded while we still had some love for the game instead of letting it putter out and die a middling death like it was looking to do. Not enough interesting interaction or cardplay. Very pleasant and easy to teach though. A cozy vibes game.
  79. VivaJava: 2, 7/10: I can never get the 6 other people it takes for this game to be good. But it's VERY good if you can get that group together.
  80. War Chest: 7, 7/10: Have better 1v1 abstracts. Why waste time playing this when I can get better at those.
  81. Warhammer Diskwars(all of it...3x): 2, 6/10: This was a big get for a good price between my fiancee and I that never actually got played.
  82. Wingspan: 6, 4/10: This one just didn't work with my group. It was okay but it felt like busywork. Not interactive enough. Looks good though, maybe the expansion fixes some things.

Summon' Gone Wrong (Part 4/5?!^%)

Time between having the urge and will to write: 6 months. Good to know, my self awareness is developing, live in....well, hopefully happiness and harmony.
Part 4
I’m breathing hard. Drained. Adrenalin spike well and truly over. Asthma isn’t quite going off just yet, so that’s nice. I’m covered in goop. My ankles are stinging from the pinpricks that pricked me with pins.
There’s a weird rush you get, same as my car accident, when time is both slow as molasses dripping from the aircon vent (Bad prank. Do not recommend.) and over as fast as….a fast….thing.
The horde of in some way sentient gunk deposits rushed at me, I just wanted to get away and desperately scrabbled at the cavern walls, my fingers digging in and anils scraping as dirt and rocks went flying through the air, I dislodged a rock the size of my head (“pendulous melon” they called it once) that bounced and rolled into the misbegotten ogly slime things, carving a lane into their mass.
The soil, a rich brown, falling in clumps around me gave way to more dirt, no escape. One leg jerks up as the sensation of a thumbtack jabs into it, the front rank of sluggos has made it to me, their weird needle things in their little claws jabbing into me. It sucked.
My back goes against the pitiful wall scrapes I’ve made as I started kicking out, my bare foot swing out, connecting and obliterating a slug. There’s a crunch noise, like it’s not all slime and mucus, the sensation of stepping on a giant snail while it’s upside down.
We’re stuck in that pattern for what feels like an hour, my pulse pounding at my temples, the mushy creatures rushing forward at me. A pair of the things plop down from above me somewhere, one lands on my shoulder. The other goes lands smack dab on my face.
If the desperate single step dance routine I was doing before was inelegant, that paled before the flailing of all of my limbs as a surprise mass of sludge went into my mouth and covered my eyes. Some distant kernel of my mind decided the closest experience I had to this was some distant, deep, dark memory of fire drills as I drop and roll, flailing about to tear this damn thing off my face, needle pricks happening at random as I feel my mass meet slug kumbaya group, I roll back and forth flinging the thing on my face into the distance. The pinpricks stopped.
That was it. I was bleeding, covered in ooze and slime, shaking from shock. I had work in the morning. I desperately crawled in the inch thick layer of sludge, trying to get to my feet. I could feel the blood drop out of my face as I leaned against the wall.
There’s a helpful breathing exercise for this sort of scenario. Sure would be good to know what it is. I clutch my face, desperately rubbing ick outof my eyes and nose, I can feel bile trying to work it’s way up. I can taste slime, it’s like rancid milk. It won’t go way.
Someone come along now please. I don’t want to be here. I don’t know how long I sat there. Long enough to be thirsty. Long enough that it seemed clear no one else was coming.
Sitting in a cavern of slug guts was motivation at least. The Lichen tore from the wall with ease, when the feeble light it generated promptly died out. I shudder for a moment as reality keeps asserting itself.
I’m not in Kansas. Nor am I at home. I don’t even have a small hound for company. I’m clearly underground. There are giant slugs that make battle formations, cheerleader triangles and are armed in a weird way. There’s at least one Casino Dice.
I’m wearing blood and slug stained tracksuits, which were of questionable cleanliness before this started. The lack of a shirt is becoming more uncomfortable, I haven’t got the physique of a runner. Or dancer. Basically anyone with a modicum of healthy exercise/dietary choices.
On the other hand, at least I’m alive? Most of the bleeding has stopped, none of the wounds were especially deep, just painful.
I need to get cleaned up, I don't want an infection. Food/watelocation are then the secondary concerns. If this doesn’t count for sick leave I’ll be furious.
Part 5
In our times of woe, when we are truly unsure and struggling, we need only remember that we can be the best versions of ourselves and act in that mindset.
Obviously this means it’s time to think about what Drazzt, the noble Drow hero who is the older mentor style brother to Drizzt, would do. I did make the character good at everything, even if our petulant game master called him “An abuse of character creation rules the like of which only illiteracy can produce”. Dude so rehearsed that line, he stumbled three times getting it out before the tiny cue card concealed in his palm slipped out. Bet the wuss got a paper cut too.
Drazzt would roll a barely legible D20 and claim a moderate number of about 14, unless a higher number was on the dice.
Fine, the petty escapism isn’t helping me. The Caverns dimness isn’t too dissimilar to the regular low lighting I utilised at home to hide the state of the floor, so at least my eyes didn’t have to adjust too wildly. Might have meant I saw less gross Slug guts and stuff. They have a tiny little bones somehow, some sort of skeleton structure to support their distorted limbs.
The air is cool, though not enough to shiver. Not too stale, though I can’t feel any airflow. Lots of openings of different sizes through the caverns, won’t fit through most. They would have been handy when I was desperately scrabbling to stop being mauled before.
I stare at the widest opening. It looks like it might be a squeeze, though given the soft dirt walls I can probably force my way in. Weird how this whole cave thingy is holding together, feels like it should fall apart as soon as water is involved or surface weight impacts it. I came across rocks, but no tree roots.
I don’t know where I am, who knows how far away the surface is. Time is hard to track down here, the lichen is always luminous so far, though I don’t think it’s been a day yet as I’m not hungry enough. How did I get here? Am I suffering from some kind of psychosis? It’s too real to be a nightmare and I never had the patience to succeed with that lucid dreaming stuff.
People don’t just teleport. They just…..don’t…...plus that webcomic I read one time made me realise we were just seeing all those Red Shirts die multiple times, as did Kirk.
Something small and hard bounces off my temple. My head spun and swivelled in a way vaguely reminiscent of the exorcist. If this is some elaborate ruse, some form of prank show, I’ll sue them into oblivion. An Ashton Kutcher produced version of the Truman Show feels like an awful idea.
My gaze follows the blue casino dice as it rolls to a slow halt away from me. It shows a 3. A slug covered in orange ick is waving it’s arms and gesticulating madly, it’s undulating flesh jiggling in a way I find slightly uncomfortable, like a Snail Zumba’d it’s way out of it’s shell.
This must be the last of the Pyramidals? Lapy. Now called Lapy.
I awkwardly stare at this small fidgeting monstrosity. It moves back and forth a bit, a small squeaking noise coming from its misshapen gash of a maw. Thought slugs didn’t have teeth? Then again it has arms and stuff.
Great. I’ve got a friend.
